This is all that I shall ever know,
This life is all I shall ever lead,
This world is all I shall ever know,
This heart is all I shall ever beat.
A world fractured by its citizens,
A home broken by a dark divorce,
A separation of humanity and humans,
Which moved us on an uncertain course.
A broken light unable to illuminate,
That which is hidden in darkness,
Each beat within pulses hot hate,
Each beat darkening dark's abyss.
A soul draws energy from its heart,
A heart that beats, lives and loves,
As hearts seek to do from the start,
A light that blinded darkest coves.
But who or what, over land and sea,
Burns the light at each pulse beat?
What mystical force or selfish deity,
Prevents light from burning complete?
There are no gods nor demons living,
Who touch the heart and stir it again,
To remove the dim and brightness bring,
No entity alive healed Man nor Woman.
There are no angels, winged nor fallen,
Whose enchanting harp and shining halo,
Could rekindle the fire of the light within,
What delays the lights last beam to flow?
An energy as powerful and pure,
As the one that burns under chest,
Only exists burning within another,
For a heart itself, heals a heart best.
But the world has been fractured and broken,
And the darkness has possessed the human core,
A light burned out, beyond its last dim lingering,
Replaced with darkness, each beat, with more.

Cold as Ice
I’d stop that tear from rolling,
Down from her eyes to her cheek,
I’d catch it in my finger but no,
My fingers have turned to ice.
I’d hold her tight to stop her,
From shaking and being afraid,
I’d embrace her to peace but no,
My arms have both turned to ice.
I’d kiss her lips to stop the dark,
The darkness corrupting her insides,
I’d kiss her till she was free but no,
My lips have frozen to beyond ice.
I’d talk to her and hold her ear,
I’d say something to make her smile,
She is a lovely sight, I adore, but no.
My tongue has turned to ice.
I’d hold her close till the last sunset,
To free her from this darkness that exists,
I’d protect her from everything evil, but no.
My heart has turned to ice, I have turned to ice.

A Friendly Voice
An old voice whispers within,
Between my ears, a whisper,
My mind the location of
origin,
It spoke about her, said
'never'.
I believed not the voice
within,
The words said, echo in my
head,
The voice seeks death to
ambition,
It said, This path will see
you dead.
The voice found itself
ignored,
An Angel, armed with a spell,
As if taught to her by the
lord,
Her spell, enchanted me well.
The voice knew it was too
late,
My penance, seems its
silence,
The voice seemed content to wait,
My disobedience, robbed my
sense.
As the voice erupted in
laughter,
It broke the spell, to show
my hell,
I saw myself being led to
slaughter,
The cliff of hell, led here
by the Angel.
As I stepped away with a step
back,
A whip of smoke, from clouds
it broke,
As the lash unleashed a
thunder crack,
Blood soak, as the voice
again spoke.
"There is no angel,
there never was,"
My heart turned to smoke, the
voice spoke,
"there's no salvation,
there never was."
I felt it as my mind broke,
no energy to even choke.

Dark Take Hold
To the shadows before my
eyes,
Stay still, and stay here for
long,
I really like what you show
me,
Let no light break this
illusion.
The world you twist and
display,
A distortion, furthest from
truth,
Holds an element, thought
lost,
The shadows hold one blissful
lie.
This world which I have grown
into,
Does not exist within shadowy
mist,
Convinced of born where not
to be,
I find a mystic glimmer in a
dark core.
An unreal warmth in the icy
heart,
A warmth which pulsed numb
toes,
An unbroken silence within
the noise,
Serene solace beyond the
crying agony.
A fire that once roared red
and strong,
Now extinguished and its
smoke in heaven,
Replaced by smokeless and
lightless flames,
Burning black as the shadows before my eyes.

Letter in a Bottle
Dear Angel where ever your wings fly,
Whichever part of earth with that sky,
To exist under the shadow of your flight,
To feel everyday such a beautiful light.
Perhaps the fates unkind gesture to me,
Born backwards, born where wasn’t to be,
An alien land without your healing flight,
A foreign tongue who understands no light.
Believe me Angel, I am trying my best,
To navigate the lands and absent a rest,
Till I see your wings shadow the ground,
Till the light my soul has finally found.
I have not chosen to be this far away,
But I promise you, here I shall not stay,
I shall find you and I will always look high,
For the glimpse of my Angel flying the sky.
